Improving mental health since 2003
What we do.
Since 2005 we have served the community of Hartlepool from our Park Road studio. We are a user lead, none profit arts studio and mental health charity for ages 18+
You don’t need to be an artist to join. As long as you’re willing to give it a go our volunteers are on hand to give guidance and support to help you create what you want.
Our studio space is a warm and welcoming space for adults to use Monday - Friday to meet new friends, express themselves and create amazing art free from judgement.
The charity is entirely user led, which means we listen to what our members want and then we go and deliver it. We have regular committee meetings and service reviews to ensure that we are still performing as best we can.
If you’re interested in getting involved get in touch.

The space isn’t huge, but we all know, it’s not the size that counts...
We can comfortably seat 20 in our studio with the option to work in our enclosed community garden to the rear of the building.
During the week the space is occupied by our members and volunteers creating whatever they want surrounded by friends and conversation.
The space is fully adapted for easy access to all, and volunteers are DBS checked and trained in safeguarding adults and mental health awareness.
We also have a large storage area to hold all our art materials. We try to cater to all interests but if you wish to bring along your own materials, please feel free.

Our gallery space is based in Middleton Grange Shopping Centre (next to Wilkos) and is available to exhibit and sell work to the public. It is run by volunteers, opening days may change as we understand that their time is given freely.
Our members are welcome to use this space as it is included in their membership; it’s also available to local artists wanting to exhibit their work too.
We are proud to be able to promote local artists and businesses through this, raising awareness of the importance to shop local.

We also run art workshops out in the community. These are run by artists, materials provided by us and organised to fit in with the themes of events. They have taken place in schools, educational settings, residential homes, community centres, festivals, seasonal and private events.
Members can get involved in these events, but this is entirely optional.
